Hello, and thank you for taking the time to visit my site.
My name is Jim Mercure and I am a freelance Photographer / Web Designer located in Seattle, Washington. I specialize in high quality Digital Photography, Graphics and Web Design at affordable rates. I am a graduate of Rochester Institute of Technology where I earned a B.F.A. in Advertising Photography and Digital Imaging.
I have also worked as a CD-ROM Designer and created one of the first enhanced music CD's for Microsoft, as well as the Lead UI Designer for Paul Allen's first e-commerce site, Mercata.com. I recently worked as a Senior UI Designer for the Haydrian Corporation where I designed their AML solution from the ground up to help banks and financial institutions detect fraud, money laundering and terrorist financing. I have also completed a successful internship with Art Wolfe, which lead to an Associate Workshop Instructor position for his photography workshops.
If you take a few moments to review some of my work you'll see that I customize each and every job to meet my client's specific needs and desires. I have over a decade of experience shooting a wide variety of people, places and events.
I have a fully equipped portable photo studio, so it can go practically anywhere.
I shoot with Canon's 5D D-SLR camera and only use Canon L series lenses, and all prints use Epson's archival inks and paper.
